To everyone that doesn’t believe in fairytales I am here to tell you that you are the writer of your story. You can be the king or queen if you wish. So straighten up your crown, take control and rule it!
Ever since I can remember I have been coming up with what some might call out there concepts. I have always loved turning creative ideas into a practical masterpieces and nothing has changed today. Just like Alice in Wonderland “I like to think of as many as 6 impossible things before breakfast.”
For more than 10 years my business Sugacoat It has been providing a variety of services including marketing strategy, advertising, event management, social media, photography, videography, branding, design and copywriting across a variety of industries including health, fitness, self help, music, events, tourism, media, fashion, not for profit, retail, education and building.
Learning is a daily ritual for me, I believe anything is possible with perseverance, YouTube and good listening skills. I have completed a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Marketing and International Relations as well as courses in radio, video, photography, social media and the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premier and InDesign). In my spare time I enjoy learning Spanish, new creative software programs and social media trends.
I have extensive experience working in the music industry in both Australia and Spain. I have worked for some of Australia’s best music festivals including Stereosonic, Creamfields, Remember the Days and Future Music assisting with liaison and stage management for artists including Drake, Will Sparks, Timmy Trumpet, SCNDL and Wynter Gordon, as well as managing a team of ticket sellers and promoters. 2 years running I was also involved in an annual 10 day party held in Koh Samui (Thailand), where I assisted with the promotion of the event.
In Ibiza I have coordinated boat parties including DJ bookings, photography, PR, social media and online sales for Ibiza Beatz and Capadi Rebels. I also worked as a Photojournalist for Essential Ibiza, Ibiza Hire and IBZ.TV which involved taking images/videos at events and writing supporting features, as well as interviewing various artists. I have reported for various events on the island including the International Music Summit and the Ibiza DJ Awards.
I have also been lucky enough to go to Amsterdam and Singapore to produce video content with Essential’s growing international brand. This shortly led to the launch of Essential TV where I managed a team of 5 videographers and editors to create cutting edge content. The platform in its first 6 months produced more than 160 videos with more than 4 million views for a variety of global brands including Space, Pacha, Ushuaia, Amnesia, Blue Marlin, STK, Elrow, Defected, Cocoon and Ministry of Sound to name a few. I interviewed some of the biggest names in clubland including Hardwell, Rudimental, Eats Everything, Andhim, Hot Since 82, Amine Edge & Dance, Basement Jaxx, Claptone, Bushwacka, Miguel Campbell, John Morales, Steve Lawler, Dimitri From Paris, Joey Negro, Darius Syrosian, Andrea Olivia, Illiario Alicante and many more. One of my highlights was being selected to follow Maceo Plex around 10 secret locations of Ibiza as well as filming with Smart Charter around the magical rock Es Vedra – the closest I had ever been.
After many years with Essential Ibiza I begun to work with the Ushuaia Magazine (IUMAG Ibiza) to launch an online video platform to support the magazine’s content through an interactive mobile phone app which brought the magazine to life through video. From fashion to restaurants and everything else in between some videos were reaching more than 110k views on social media. Some of the highlights working with IUMAG was producing a video for jewellery brand Dreamers Ibiza which involved a stunning white horse. Interviewing B-Traits, Black Coffee, Sasha, Lauren Lane, Waff, NERVO, ANEK, Matthias Tanzmann and HOSH. I also loved the interview with David Guetta about the 10 Tracks That Had Changed His Life. I am still overseeing this project.
Having just a diverse skillset has really allowed me to have a great balance of projects. I also have many clients in the health and fitness industry. Being a vegan (mostly raw) this has been important. I am extremely dedicated to my nutrition and environmental impact. I love to help others so working in this space is truly rewarding. I currently do digital marketing, social media, design and video/photo content for a variety of businesses in this space including yoga retreats, coaches, reiki healers, raw chefs, naturopaths and many more.
I am also in the process of launching a health and lifestyle blog called WHY SUGACOAT IT. A website with REAL reviews & stories about nutrition, recipes, beauty, fashion, travel, yoga, fitness, metaphysics, meditation, sustainability, art, poetry, music, DIY & more. Stay tuned.
In between all of that I also film weddings in Australia and Ibiza which I find incredibly rewarding. I just love capturing happy couples enjoying one of the best days on their lives on film to cherish and show their children. Being a wedding videographer allows me to get really creative, making every video unique to the couple with a sprinkle of fairy dust.
To put it simply, I am a walking talking creative dictionary ready to take on your project!
Now excuse me while I go make some waves in the world.
